•Spelling – test tomorrow.

•Agendas – sign (make sure reading minutes are being recorded.)

•Reading – read 20 minutes/record.  Make your Love That Dog blue booklet.

Folders will go home tomorrow.

blog task:  Think about how you treat others..... Is this something that you need to work on?  Write down your thoughts about how you treat others.  Write down how others are treating you?  Do we need to talk about these issues at our next class meeting?  Our next class meeting is tomorrow - feel free to write your name in the book if you want to talk tomorrow.

Human Growth and Development Class

The parent preview will be held on Jan. 30th at 7:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. Be sure to send in the intent form as soon as you can after the meeting.

If you know your child will attend the class, you can send in the form anytime.  I need all forms by Feb 3.

Tuesday, January 24

•Baby pictures due by this Friday.

•Science menu planner Lesson 3 – typed, finish lesson 3 in workbook. Cut out 15 strips of aluminum foil using the template provided.

•Spelling – work book page #74

•Reading – read and record 20 minutes & finish the so much depends upon poem.

• Math – pg. 93 but not problems 10&11.

blog task - During class tomorrow, I will announce a POP quiz.  Follow the directions as if you are taking the quiz, but on your paper write, "I read the blog."  If you write "I read the blog" then you will make a 100 on the quiz.  Don't tell anyone else about this - let's see who is really reading the blog.

Students should be reading the blog - parents can assist - but, students should be doing this themselves!

Friday ~ TGIF ~ January 20

Lexie, Lincoln, Brenden, and Jessie will be our representatives for the Consequences of Crime fieldtrip.  Congratulations!  I'll have permission slips for you next week.  The fieldtrip will be on March 1. 

Next week - we will use tokens to try and meet a classroom goal to earn some type of reward (class will determine the reward.)  We will have a class meeting to help determine what our classroom goals should be and how we will earn the reward. 

 

DON'T FORGET - study for your social studies/reading test which will be on Monday over WWI.  You have a study guide and I reminded you to take your social studies book home. Use the online book if you forgot your textbook!  You should complete the commerative stamp sheet - I gave you the rubric - so, keep in mind the grading requirements as you complete the sheet.

January 19

Read – 20 minutes and record

Spelling – test over sort 17 – you need to study the words.

SS – be sure to begin studying tonight – test is Monday.  The study guide was given out Tuesday, Jan. 17.

Math – finish odd problems on Capacity sheet, and finish all problems on the metric sheet.  Reminder - your post test over these concepts is tomorrow.  Next week we will begin working on the geometry terms.

Science – typed menu planner is due tomorrow - for Lesson 2. 

Parents sign Thursday folder and agenda.

Blog task - show me a flyer from the talent show!  You may have it back it you want it back!

Blog task - bring in 5 Box Tops for Education.  If you have more, bring them in too!  Count them and put them in a baggy.  Write your name and the number of boxtops on the baggy.  :0)

DRIFTWOOD news:  all payments and forms are due this Friday.  I sent home payment envelopes with the amount you still owe for the trip written on the envelope.  If you have any questions about payment, please contact Donna Denis in our front office.

•Math – complete pg 417 (1-14) & make sure capacity worksheet is done.

 

•Science – finish workbook up to pg 68 and menu planner due tomorrow.
